On behalf of the RSL LifeCare Board, Sangeeta Venkatesan, Interim Chair RSL Lifecare, has announced the appointment of Ewen Crouch AM as Chairman, effective Friday 28 October 2022.
Crouch comes to RSL LifeCare with a distinguished career in corporate law, being a former partner and Chairman of Allens.
He is currently Chairman of Corporate Travel Management Ltd and AnteoTech Ltd and a non-executive director of BlueScope Steel Ltd, all ASX listed corporations. Previously he was a non-executive director of Westpac Banking Corporation from 2013 to 2019. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Crouch is also dedicated to the work of the for-purpose sector. He served as a director of Mission Australia from 1995 to 2016, including over seven years as Chairman, and as a director of Sydney Symphony Orchestra from 2009 to 2020. Currently, he serves as a board member of Jawun where corporate, government and Indigenous leaders come together to share their skills and experiences to create real change.
He strongly believes in and is committed to the purpose of RSL LifeCare, stating that "it is a privilege to be invited to chair this organisation with its deep 110-year history in assisting veterans and to lead the governance of such an important contributor in the vital aged care sector."
