RSL LifeCare has welcomed the Australian Government’s commitment to additional support and funding across Aged Care and Veterans’ Services as part of the October 2022 budget.
Millions of Australians rely on Aged Care and Veteran’s Services every day, and it’s important to continue to look after those that have looked after and continue to look after so many. RSL LifeCare Chief Executive Officer Janet Muir said RSL LifeCare would continue to work closely
alongside Government and organisational stakeholders to ensure that safety, wellbeing and care remain a top priority for residents, staff and veterans.
“RSL LifeCare has operated for more than a century across New South Wales (NSW) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), and our focus has always been on supporting those who are in our care and as part of our organisation,” Muir said.
“This focus was reaffirmed by the Government’s funding commitments this week as part of the Budget across Aged Care and Veteran’s Services. Along with my colleagues, I look forward to supporting and championing programs that will enhance the lives of thousands of Australians and promote a positive quality of life.”
RSL LifeCare operates across NSW and the ACT, providing home care and operating retirement villages and aged care homes for more than 7,500 residents. RSL LifeCare, with the support of funding from RSL NSW, also provides a holistic and veteran-centric set of services, including Veteran Wellbeing Centres in Nowra and the Riverina regions, aimed at supporting veterans and their families make the transition from active service in the defence force into civilian life amongst local communities.
