Summerset Group has applied for Resource Consent to build Summerset Parnell near Cheshire Street and the Parnell train station.
This will be a significant development within an existing and changing urban fabric. Existing connections will be maintained and new ones formed. This project has considered these connections from an early stage. Of key importance is the need to provide a legible pedestrian connection to the Parnell Train Station.
A series of cues and views enable intuitive navigation to and through the site, leading pedestrians down Waipapa Lane toward a new northern underpass future AT project and toward the city, using the Sky Tower as a landmark.
The proposal is to construct and operate the retirement village comprising eight interconnected buildings ranging from three to eight storeys in height. The proposal provides 316 units (independent living and aged care units) together with a variety of common amenities and facilities, 235 parking spaces and associated works.
Submissions are invited and can be put forward on the Notified Consent Application on the Auckland Council website until 16th December 2020.
