Subway New Zealand has raised NZD 20,000 for the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services' Association during ANZAC Day 2025.
The power of the ANZAC spirit was on full display when everyday people dug deep to help Subway New Zealand raise a staggering NZD 20,000 for the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services’ Association (RSA).
Subway partnered with RSA to launch a limited-edition Anzac biscuit ahead of ANZAC Day 2025, with proceeds from every biscuit sold supporting the organisation’s crucial services and programmes.
In just one month, sales of the popular biscuit, baked to golden perfection from a traditional recipe, contributed to raising NZD 20,000 to directly assist veterans and their families.
Royal New Zealand RSA National President Sir Wayne Shelford expressed how much the donation means and the real difference it will make for veterans across the Motu.
“A huge thank you to everyone who purchased a Subway Anzac biscuit and helped to raise the incredibly generous donation of NZD 20,000,” said Shelford.
“The funds will be placed in the National Poppy Trust, which is used to provide a range of support for veterans, including emergency accommodation, medical and mental health care and hardship alleviation right through to accessibility modifications and home repairs.
We’re so grateful to Subway for this donation and for helping us continue to honour and support those who’ve served.”
Subway Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, Shane Bracken, said the limited-edition Anzac biscuit was a truly feel-good treat for an important cause.
“With all Subway restaurants being locally owned and operated, we know how important it is to engage with the community and give back wherever possible,” Bracken said.
“This year, we wanted to do something special to honour the brave men and women who have served and continue to inspire us with their courage and resilience. I am grateful to our guests for wholeheartedly embracing this purposeful partnership and helping us reach our fundraising target of NZD 20,000 for RSA.”
