AUSTRALIA | Annecto Incorporated has announced it will cease all aged care and disability services in July 2025 through a letter to customers.

After more than 70 years of dedicated support service across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory, Annecto Incorporated (Annecto) will be ceasing all aged care and disability services in July 2025.

This difficult decision follows careful deliberation and extensive stakeholder consultation, which considered the service model shifts in the aged care and disability sectors and the financial challenges facing the organisation.

As a result, it was identified that Annecto would be unable to continue providing services in the future.

Transitioning the people we support to other trusted providers

“At Annecto, we support over 3,000 people with aged care and disability services to live independently and stay connected to what’s important to them,” the company said in a statement.

“Our focus now is working together to transition the people we support and the services they receive to other trusted providers who can continue delivering the support they need and deserve.”

Annecto said it would transition its supported customers to other trusted providers.

“We appreciate that this news is confronting, however, we can assure you that we have implemented a transition plan to work with an established provider to continue to deliver these services to you and potentially employ our support workers. This aligns with our aim to maintain continuity of support services wherever possible.”

It said in the letter to customers that the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission were independent bodies that Annecto customers could contact in order to navigate the situation.

Similarly, Annecto said its team were still available to contact for any customers who wished to get in touch. The company said all customers would be supported during this process.

“While this decision marks a sad time for all of us at Annecto, this course of action ensures that the current services you receive can continue to be delivered by another provider into the future.”
