Ryman Healthcare is in the running for 10 awards at the Asia-Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards in Singapore.
Considered the ‘Oscars of aged care’, the awards attracted more than 300 submissions from across the Asia-Pacific region. In 2023, Ryman won four categories, including ‘Innovation of the Year (Response to COVID-19)’ and ‘Operator of the Year (Ageing in Place).’
The retirement living and aged care company’s Saffron hospitality platform is a finalist in two innovative award categories.
With Saffron, the care team take meal orders on tablets, providing residents with photographs and ingredient details. This allows the team to help residents choose nutritionally appropriate meals while maintaining their autonomy.
Ryman rolled out the hospitality platform to 40 villages across New Zealand and Australia in 2023, and is the first aged care provider in the Asia Pacific region to use Saffron.
Ryman’s care model, with its range of care options on offer, is also a finalist in the ‘Operator of the Year – Ageing in Place’ and ‘Innovation of the Year – Ageing in Place’ categories.
The selection highlights the strength of Ryman’s care offering, which sees independent retirement living fully integrated with serviced apartments, home care services, and rest home care, hospital care, and specialist dementia care.
