PainChek® is pleased to announce that Summerset, New Zealand’s third-largest care provider, is to roll out PainChek®’s digital pain assessment solution in all 24 of its care centres. The implementation is expected to take place throughout 2022 and follows a successful 6-month pilot program trialling PainChek® at Summerset’s Levin Care Centre.
Summerset will utilise PainChek® across 1,150 beds to enable best-practice pain management and improve quality of care. PainChek® is fully integrated with VCare, Summerset’s existing CMS provider, meaning clinical staff will benefit from significant time savings and workflow improvement once the roll-out is complete.
Lynda Irvine, Head of Clinical Services at Summerset said of the partnership with PainChek®:
“PainChek® really made us think about how important effective pain management is for older people and a key advantage is being able to rule out pain as a contributing factor for residents who are at times distressed. The connection with VCare reduces duplication for clinical staff and means the team can spend a little more time each day with residents.”
David Allsopp, PainChek® Head of Business Development ANZ commented:
“We are very excited to be partnering with one of New Zealand's premier care providers. The pilot conducted at Summerset's Levin Care Centre demonstrated how quickly and effectively PainChek® can be implemented remotely, even internationally, and we look forward to completing our implementation across all Summerset care centres, and with other care providers.”
Summerset joins more than 1,500 facilities around the world who have implemented PainChek® to enable best-practice pain assessment and management.
