Summerset Holdings has been granted resource consent to build a new retirement village in the growing suburb of Milldale, along the Hibiscus Coast north of Auckland.
Occupying six hectares of land, the village, called Summerset Milldale, will be situated in the heart of the new Milldale subdivision, and follow the gentle course of the Waterloo Stream.
“Summerset Milldale will offer a range of independent homes in a mix of villas and apartments,” said Aaron Smail, Summerset’s General Manager Development. “Our village centre will have fantastic resort-style amenities and community spaces, and feature serviced apartments, care
rooms, and our industry-leading memory care suites for residents living with dementia.”
While Summerset Milldale will have a similar layout to our other villages, we’re giving it a whole new look and feel.
“New selections of brick, plaster and metal cladding come together in a striking and contemporary aesthetic that will be well suited to Summerset Milldale’s urban setting,” said Smail.
The Milldale subdivision is expected to have 4,500 homes, with a town centre, green spaces, schools, and recreational amenities. Nearby are also a golf course, sports grounds, and the Millwater/Silverdale shopping area.
