Summerset Answer the Residents SOS in Lockdown

Summerset has heard the call from residents and has introduced a programme of free online events under the banner SOS or Summerset Online Sessions.

According to Summerset while we’re all staying put in our bubbles and normal village events are cancelled, they have something different coming for residents.  They're answering the SOS call for stay-at-home entertainment and have created the Summerset Online Sessions. These free online events are coming to the rescue to liven up lockdown, and can be attended from the comfort of a residents home.

The events include a weekly lockdown sing-a-long and quizzes for residents and celebrity speaker events are coming soon.

A concert with Shane McAlister from Kapiti this week created quite a stir with some great reactions on Facebook from residents.

As some residents aren’t on the internet so the talented Summerset village teams have created some wonderful real life entertainment for them, including Theodore Patrick Cavendish from Summerset on Cavendish (Christchurch), the teddy bear who pops up all over the village (occasionally with a wine glass in hand), a balloon decoration competition for the Summerset by the Park residents in Manukau, and some clever gardening from Summerset by the Ranges (Levin) gardening team.

And, no matter if residents are online or not, the Summerset Shout with Villa Maria wines and tasty snacks is coming next week.
