UVD Robots has launched its newest creation. Their new autonomous robot uses eight UV-C ultraviolet lights to disinfect hospital rooms in an effort to destroy infectious diseases, bacteria, viruses and reduce hospital-acquired infections. It kills 99.99 percent of bacteria from its 360° degree disinfection coverage.
In just ten minutes, a room can be treated with a process that damages DNA and RNA structures of harmful microorganisms to stop it from multiplying.
The robot is safe, reliable and eliminates human error. Despite this, the area it is treating during the disinfecting process must be isolated. The robot can operate for up to two and a half hours per change, and during this time disinfect up to ten rooms.
UVD Robot has been clinically tested and verified at Odense University Hospital in Denmark and by independent microbiological laboratories.
