AUSTRALIA | Applications are now open for the Maggie Beer Foundation’s Trainer Mentor Programme, a 12-month initiative designed to improve food, nutrition, and dining experiences in aged care homes.
The programme pairs aged care homes with expert Foundation Chef Trainers, offering tailored mentoring and hands-on support. Participants receive on-site training, monthly follow-ups, and coursework to reinforce learning. A professional menu appraisal by an Accredited Practising Dietitian ensures nutritional excellence, while food satisfaction questionnaires gather feedback from residents, families, and staff. Detailed reports provide insights to guide decision-making and ongoing improvements.
By joining the programme, aged care homes gain practical training to deliver nutritious, flavourful meals, enhance resident satisfaction, and meet upcoming food and nutrition standards. Additionally, participants gain access to an exclusive online professional community for continued support and collaboration.
