Celebrating Workers at the HEART of Aged Care

Humanetix are celebrating the dedication of aged care workers, as they launch the Heart Awards in an effort to acknowledge and highlight the commitment in the industry.

The Australian Company is known for their digital technological development in the aged care industry and want to make a difference to workers in communities who do so much.

After being pushed to the edge from ongoing issues in a post pandemic world, it is predicted that 64,000 workers will leave the industry by June 2023.

Humanetix CEO, Arthur Shih says that any support that can be given is an initiative they want to take.

“The last few years have been challenging for Aged Care Workers. They are a critical part of our healthcare system, and their work is immeasurably important in enabling happy and healthy aging for the senior members of our society.”

This campaign allows aged care employees to be recognised and to have a ‘voice’ to be heard. Mr Shih said that the initiative is about “putting our everyday Aged Care workers’ names up in lights.”

“We are celebrating the incredibly valuable work that our nurses, home care workers, and personal care assistants do.”

The HEART Awards stand on five principles of being Helpful, Empathetic, Action-oriented, Resilient, and Trustworthy. By taking this approach, Humanetix aims to support workers in their day-to-day work, while focussing on championing their important work.

Three recipients will be rewarded with a considerable cash prize, which can be put towards their career development, or as a charitable donation.

A simple online application is all that is needed to nominate a deserving candidate for this recognition, and anyone can nominate a colleague, their employees, a favourite care staff, or themselves for this award.

Mr Shih says that Humanetix is excited about giving back, even if it is only in a small way.

“We would love to hear as many stories as we can so if you have the experience to share about an amazing Aged Care Worker, please consider putting their name forward.”
