Two residents at IRT's Tarrawanna Aged Care Centre have tested positive for COVID-19. Both residents are fully vaccinated and have mild symptoms. No other residents are unwell, with 87.5 percent of residents fully vaccinated.
With the majority of staff fully vaccinated, only a small number are waiting for their second shot. The facility has implemented an outbreak management plan and the first 24 hours protocol, including staff and resident isolation and infection control measures.
Staff and residents at the centre are being tested as a precaution.
