Newmarch House, the aged care facility at the centre of the COVID-19 outbreak last year in Australia is again in the news after a doctor who was COVID-19 positive visited the home three times in the course of the week.
The home is now in lockdown, with the home's general manager, Stewart James sending a letter to families of residents as soon as they were advised of the positive test result.
Swabs have been taken of residents with close contacts to the doctor returning negative tests.
This case shows that complacency has no place in the fight against COVID-19, it's test, test and test again.
